Comfort Grip Wet Area Matting increases slip resistance on otherwise slippery floors thanks to its patented textured surface, which allows moisture to flow between the raised walking surface and drain off the sides, keeping the topside safe with enhanced traction.

• Comfort Grip Matting offers one of the most slip-resistant, high-traction designs for use around locker rooms, pools, hot tubs and the like. The enhanced slip resistance is ideal for slippery floors, especially where safety is a high priority.

• Comfort Grip mats are anti-microbial and resist mildew, fungus and foul odors. The UV and chlorine resistance ensures a long-lasting, easy-to-maintain appearance.

• This 1/8" thick, wet area mat is strong enough for cart and wheelchair traffic yet soft enough for even the most sensitive bare feet. These mats are perfect for poolsides, waterparks, shower stalls and locker rooms, saunas and rehabilitation facilities.

• These safety mats can be placed both both inside and outdoors.

• To clean, simply hose off. Scrub with a deck brush as needed.

All of the other wet area mats seem to have some type of drain holes to allow the water to flow through. These mats seem solid so are they really good for a wet area like a pool and shower?

That's a true statement and an excellent point. These mats do not have any type of drainage slats built into them yet they are still an excellent and popular choice for use around busy, commercial pools, showers, hot tubs and locker rooms. Although the water cannot drain through the matting, the softly textured surface coupled with the low profile design allows the mat to keep its high traction while spreading the water over a larger surface area which helps it to dry more quickly. These mats stay in place well on the floor and can cover large areas. Thanks to a maximum 6 ft width, fewer mats may be needed to cover extra large spaces. Overall, these are premium wet area mats that have been sold for many years and don't disappoint.

Our facility has six changing rooms each 5.75 ft x 12 ft 8 in. Can we or, ideally, you custom cut these mats down to fit our space?

We can certainly custom cut these Comfort Grip mats for you or you can easily do it yourself on site. (All you would need is a razor (utility) knife or a sharp pair of shears to cleanly cut through this matting. If we were to custom cut them in house, it would only add another day or two to the overall lead time. Should you wish to go that route please contact us directly. Thanks.

Is it necessary to glue the Comfort grip matting to the floor? We intend to order a longer runner mat to cover the area in front of three shower stalls.

Although the mats can be glued down it is not necessary to do so. Additionally, should you wish to take up the mats for any cleaning or maintenance, gluing the Comfort Grip would make things more cumbersome. We would recommend simply loose laying the mat on the floor in front of the showers without any adhesive.
